It was; however, a great day for the poor, the downtrodden, and those who were oppressed under the previous regieme. Speaking as an American who had forgotten what is was like to be proud of my country, it was the most patriotic I had felt in years.
How can you forget to be proud to be an American? I'm proud of that EVERY day the Good Lord allows me. The "previous regieme" and the ones before that have nothing to do with my pride for my country. But I sure pray that the poor & downtrodden will gain a little respect for this country as they have spent the last 8 years tearing it apart stitch by stitch. So, now that you have been instilled with a little pride into you, the rest of us are watching to see what it will do for all of the country. Good Luck. We wish us well. It's time to start pulling the wagon with the rest of us.
